Attend Emily’s first in-person workshop since 2019 at Radiate Art Space in Richmond, Vermont! We will be creating a version of this mixed media painting using fabric and paint, and possibly some other fun materials. This is a low-pressure, process based workshop, with a focus on exploration and fun!
Come spend an evening learning how to layer acrylic paint to create amazing depth and colorful effects! We will be painting trees inspired by Vermont’s very own “stick season”!

Come celebrate Spring! with a bright, light pallete and lots of opportunity to celebrate spring colors and themes in this one-night class. We will paint on a long canvas, using lots of materials including stencils, paint, inks and other found objects.
Open to all. No previous experience necessary. All supplies provided. Wear clothes which can get dirty.
Sometimes the hardest part of making art is knowing when you are "done".
Come join Emily at Radiate Art Space for a "finish it" Open Studio. Bring your past paintings from Emily's classes, or even some of your own work, to get some feedback and advice on how you might choose to finish your work.
All supplies provided, and some new canvasses will be available for those who wish to start again! Plenty of 1:1 time with Emily and other art students to brainstorm, collaborate and celebrate!
Join Emily Mitchell for another painting adventure! This time we will use acrylic paints on board to create a fun, whimsical heart, using many "non-traditional" Valentine colors and a combination of materials including paper, paint and ink.

Come and play and create your very own “stash” of unqiue collage paste papers.
Paste Paper is a fun, stress free, creative way to make your own colorful and textured papers, which you can use to make books, note cards, envelopes or even wrap presents!
All art supplies are provided.
**Dried papers will be picked up the next day at Radiate.

Emily will be creating a painting LIVE - to support the fundraising efforts of Richmond Marathoner, Brooke White, and her family and the Boston Children's Hospital.
This piece will be available to take home THAT EVENING, all to benefit a GREAT cause!
Have you ever been interested in exploring paint, collage, pastels and other art supplies but have been intimidated by the "result"? Do you get stalled by the creative process because you are worried about getting things "right" or doing the work 'correctly"? Have you taken years hiatus from your creative side, and need the nudge to get your creative juices flowing again?
THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU!
We will be creatively playing, exploring and working with paint, paper, drawing supplies and collage materials in this 4-week process-based class. A supportive, caring and exciting creative environment will develop as we take risks, let go of fear, and take this opportunity to re-ignite your creative self.
There will be NO pressure to complete or finish a product, but we will instead focus on exploring, playing and finding personal inspiration. No previous art experience necessary.
Note: This class will be VERY different from Emily's one-evening painting workshops.
Upon registration, a basic, personal supply list will be provided (99% the supplies will be found around your home!).
